I’m Antonio Lasala, from Zaragoza, Spain.
As a lighting artist, my speciality is the last part of the production workflow in computer graphics; lighting scenes, giving them atmosphere, focusing the attention of the viewers and finally, compositing the render layers if needed. In other words, my job is the final look of the scene. In addition, most of the time I have to handle complete projects, so I have gained strong skills on modelling, animating and FXs.
Since my initial training and many years working in different studios and doing some freelance jobs, I learned and gained experience in many different 3D softwares and in different points of a animation production, from the first stages till the final product, added to my natural interest in 3D and new technologies, gives me a general knowledge on all the production process, making me a valuable part of a production team. That global experience gives me strong technical problem solving skills and also I can help at any point if needed. Even then, I prefer to focus my career specializing in lighting.
My story is like any other; I began doing some architectural 3D desings but I always wanted more and more, so I studied by myself everything I could about 3D, untill I decided to join an animation school, Primerframe, where I began my true way to lighting, applying my knowledge to animation productions and videogames.
Actually I’m focusing my efforts on achieving my dream: work in an animated super-production.
